लखनऊ । उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने मंगलवार को लौह पुरुष सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल की 142वीं जयंती पर हजरजगंज स्थित जीपीओ पार्क में स्थापित लौह पुरुष की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण कर श्रद्धाजंलि अर्पित की। इस मौके पर सीएम योगी ने सरदार पटेल की नीतियों को की सराहना की और कहा कि भारत प्राचीन काल से संस्कृतिक इकाई रहा है। सरदार पटेल ने इसे राजनीतिक इकाई का रूप दिया। उनका यह प्रयास हमको हमेशा जीवंत बनाए रखता है। अब देश की इसी एकता को बनाए रखना हमारा फर्ज है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें उनके सिद्धान्त और नीतियां अपनानी चाहिए, उनकी नीति अपना कर ही राष्ट्र का निर्माण होगा। सरदार पटेल की नीतियों के कारण भारत में 543 रियासत मिली। ये अखंड भारत की सबसे बड़ी देन है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कश्मीर के मामले पर सरदार पटेल की बातें यदि तत्कालीन सरकार मानी होती तो यह समस्या नहीं होती, लेकिन तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री पं नेहरू ने कहा था कश्मीर मैं अपने तरीके से सुलझाऊंगा। जिस कारण से परिस्थिति बिगड़ गई है। सीएम ने कहा कि स्वतंत्रता संग्राम से लेकर मजबूत और एकीकृत भारत के निर्माण में सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल का योगदान कभी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता। उनका जीवन, व्यक्तित्व और कृतित्व सदैव प्रेरणा के रूप में देश के सामने रहेगा। इस मौके पर उप मुख्यमंत्री केशव प्रसाद मौर्या, मंत्री स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य सहित कई मंत्री, भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेन्द्र नाथ पाण्डेंय और तमाम विधायक भी मौजूद रहे।
